By Corinne Mitchell, San Diego Cats Examiner, examiner.com, April 22, 2011 - It has been discovered that cats are also being poisoned at the El Rey Trailer Plaza mobile home park in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of San Diego.
The fenced mobile home park on 47th Street near Market Street houses 220 mobile homes and it is believed that one or more of the residents are responsible for the deaths of the pet cats and dogs living there.
The first call was made to officers of the San Diego Humane Society this past Saturday, April 16, 2011. At first, the investigating officers uncovered the poisoning of five dogs.
But, even with the investigators on site, the poisonings have continued and the death toll of dogs has risen to at least 10 and now includes at least five cats. Residents fear that there more dead cats will be discovered.
In fact one resident claims that whoever is responsible for poisoning the animals has been killing resident's pets for years.
