Stillwater Run Beagles

Stillwater Run Beagles
Acacia with Beagles: Our kids LOVE the pups.

We have done foster care in the Santa Clara Valley since 1971. During that time, we have bred, raised and cared for many Beagle puppies. They have been excellent companions for many of our children.

We raise only the tri-color Beagles, and are working now to restrict our size to 13" adults. Some of our dogs are still growing out to exceed that size.
Our latest addition is a TOP show champion-bred male by the name of HUGO.

Hugo comes from a long line of champion Beagles. Only 20 of Hugos 126 immediate ancestors have not yet attained champion status. Hugo is 13.5" tall, and when we breed him with our 13" females, we get some pups which will be smaller and some slightly larger than 13".

Champ: Charlemagne (Champ) the
grand-sire of many of our litters.
Because of their short hair, Beagles are a very low-maintenance pet. We almost never bathe ours, unless they begin to smell worse than the children.

The Beagle was recently rated as one of the top 10 breeds for children and families. They are extremely family oriented and the best companion you could ask for.

Beagles come in two sizes: dogs UNDER 13 called 13" Beagles, and dogs OVER 13", called 15" Beagles. A good weight for the 13 inch is 18 to 20 lbs., and 20 to 22 lbs. for the 15 inch.

The life span of the Beagle, assuming he is not over-weight and has good medical care, is between 15 and 18 years of age.

Beagles love to travel.

The Beagle asks only for love, attention and affection. If you can give these, you'll have a companion and friend for life.
