We are John and Karen Nordquist and we are "owned" by our Abys!!

We live in the rolling hills of NE Kansas along with our beautiful, inquisitive
Abyssinians. We maintain a small closed cattery that my father had started. When
he no longer could care for his wonderful Abys they came to live with us. That is how "TAILSWEST" began. We are forever grateful for my father and his deep sense of affection for these gorgeous creatures. NE Kansas will never be the same.

Abyssinians are sometimes referred to as "miniature cougars" because of their coat
color and pattern which resembles that of a cougar. Their eyes are usually a rich gold but may also be a gorgeous green. They have captivating personalities with no two personalities exactly alike. They say a picture is worth a thousand words; it would take a thousand words to describe these intelligent, affectionate, playful, inquisitive creatures that look like miniature cougars.

Our Abys love our grandchildren, our dogs, and us! The Abys are as adventurous as the grandchildren. Both love to climb, romp, and play hard.
	They have a sense of humor and a zest for life. It is wonderful being a child and owned by a Aby.

This wonderful elegant creature with its beautiful ticked coat and dramatic facial markings will steal your heart and own you in no time. We know, it happened to us!!

Your new kitten: Kittens need time to adjust to you and to new surroundings. Give your new kitten lots of love and reassurance while letting it explore its new home. Your kittens will come with a guarantee against genetic defects. It will be current on all age appropriate vaccinations and de-worming. All kittens require booster vaccinations and regular vet maintenance care. We ask that your kitten be in a maintenance care program with your vet---for the health of your kitten!
