THE SHIH TZU

This wonderful companion had its beginnings in Tibet where it was used as gifts to the Chinese Emperors. It was discovered by breeding the Lhasa Apso and Pekingese breeds---thus the Shih Tzu!!! The sizes are standard, which are 10 to 12 pounds and 10 to 11 inches at the shoulder and the Imperial at less than 10 pounds and 8 to 10 inches at the shoulder. Their grooming needs are above average, but they so enjoy being groomed and what an opportunity to bond with you lovely Shih Tzu. The Shih Tzu is a great pet for families, or for thoes who live in small places, or a great companion just for you!!
