Katherine Duncum is proud to have owned, bred, raised and shown Havana kittens and cats for over 15 years as Nasdoii Cattery.  "Nasdoii" means cougar or tiger in the Navajo Indian language.  We are also extremely proud of our four Supreme Grand Champions and Regional Winners in The International Cat Association, Supreme Grand Champions:  Nasdoii Tinkerbell, Nasdoii Cleopatra, Nasdoii Mercury and our most recent Nasdoii Azurite.  In addition, over the years Nasdoii Cattery has had Best Havana in TICA for 10 years.

    Thus, we would like to welcome all our readers to Nasdoii Cattery, home of fine pure-bred Havana kittens and cats.  Nasdoii Cattery was founded in 1991, after we had had a Havana for 13 years.  After his death we searched for another Havana kitten since they exhibit such human, loving and smart personalities.  We finally purchased our second Havana after several months of searching for a breeder who would have kittens in the near future, we received our loving, affectionate and future Champion Peck-n-Paw's Chestnut Intrepid of Nasdoii who would become one of our leading stud males.

Since we so adored our Chestnut we soon decided to embark on breeding, showing and providing Havana kittens to others who we were sure would love to be proud owners of this beautiful breed of cats.  Thus, with much joy and affections Nasdoii Cattery was founded to promote the Havana feline.

    Today, there are Nasdoii kittens and/or cats in 49 states, Germany, Holland - The Netherlands and Canada.  Many of these have been shown, doing very well by taking breed and regional awards in TICA and CFA.  In addition many people have decided to purchase a second kitten as a companion so they can enjoy the playful antics of the Havana.

Let us look for a moment at the many attributes of the Havana Cat.  A Havana is a medium size cat with beautiful dark brown short hair fur, emerald green eyes and pink paw pads.  Females average between 6-7 pounds in weight while males can reach up to 10 pounds.  The Havana is unique in that there is very little fur shedding.  They are quiet when riding in the car and even enjoy motel rooms.  However, with food and water they can also be left at home for a few days and are perfectly contented awaiting the joyous return of their owner.  Thus, to us the Havana feline is as one judge said "The Purrfect Cat"

    Our Havanas are also very healthy cats being HIV, FeLV negative and  receive regular immunizations and check-ups by our veterinarian.  We also provide our customers with the name of our Vet in case there are any questions.  Nasdoii Cattery has ONLY purebred Havanas!  We out-cross only within the breed itself and will NEVER and have NEVER out-crossed our cats with Oriental Shorthairs or black cats!

     Nasdoii Cattery is pleased to welcome all inquiries about our kittens and are anxious to tell people about the beautiful Havana breed of cats.  We ship our kittens most anywhere the airlines fly and are very careful to make sure they have secure carriers and we find no need for any kind of tranquilizers.  Thus, you can be sure to receive a healthy playful kitten upon arrival.  Of course, you will want to give this indoor only cat Tender Loving Care and time to adjust.
