| Our "love affair" with the Doberman breed began in 1978. We started our breeding program with a single female, keeping her best daughters and so on. We NEVER purchase any outside females and are very selective about the sires we acquire. Our focus has been to provide quality companions and pets at affordable prices, with our breeding emphasis being on conformation, intelligence, disposition and soundness. |
|
|
We
are located twenty-two miles NE of Ponca City, Oklahoma where we live on a
twenty acres with our Dobermans and horses. There are currently nine
adult dogs who live with us. All are housebroken and stay in our
home on a rotational basis. Our dogs are not "kenneled" in the
general sense of the word but when outside stay in their own large fenced
yard with an insulated dog house for inclement weather. If the
weather is extreme we have a large indoor area with crates to keep them
both secure and comfortable. The females that we retain for our breeding program are selected from the very best we have and are not bred to produce their first litter until they are 2 years old. They are then bred a maximum of once every 12 to 18 months depending on their age, health and so forth. Our desire is to produce quality not quantity. |
| Every
puppy we have is whelped indoors, in our living area where the temperature
is stable and where we can continually monitor them. They remain in
our home until weaning when they are transferred to an outside puppy
kennel. They are socialized by frequent contact with myself, my
wife or by coming in and playing with the kids. We have many clients who are on their second puppy from us and some who are even on their third and even have veterinarians whom we have never met referring people to us for puppies. Most of our puppies are family companions but some have gone on to become service dogs while others are starting their careers in the show ring. |

The
pedigrees of our dogs looks like the "who's who" of the Doberman breed and
includes dogs like: Ch. Tolivar's Aristotle of Azteca; Ch. Boo Radley
Dobman; Ch. Arco Dob Mann, WAC; Ch. Marienburg's Repo Man; Ch.
Marienburg's Gaucho Prieto; and even contains the all time leading
producing female for the breed Ch. Moraga Hill's High Fashion. We currently have clients scattered from California to Puerto Rico and have had people drive from as far away as Montana to acquire one of our puppies. Most of the puppies we produce are black and rust, but we do occasionally get reds and have a limited number of blues and fawns, with most of the latter being spoken for before they are even whelped.
