Welcome to the home of Kalchan Standard Poodles. I love to share my passion for Standard Poodles. I enjoy our family of Poodles in my country home northeast of Toronto Ontario Canada.

Three Times a Lady, my first Standard, joined my family in 1988. Lady was a beautiful silver Poodle that picked me as her family. She remains number one even now that other Poodles have also become family members.

My first breeding experience began in 1990. My goal was, and is, to raise healthy, happy, affectionate Poodles to allow other families to enjoy the companionship of a Standard Poodle family member. My pictures show the versatility in the life of a poodle.

In order to ensure this I practice the following:

Raise all pups in a home environment.
Socialize new pups with lots of individual attention.
Breeding my females no more than once a year.
Work only with Standard Poodles and study their characteristics and developments.
Genetically screen adults for breeding which includes hip dysplasia, Von Willebrand Factor, thyroid assessment, sebacceous adenitis, eye examination.
Invite families to visit the pups home and let the perfect pup pick you.
Attempt to match personality & individual situation with the best puppy for your family.
Visitors can see the new Standard Poodles after they are six weeks old.

When a puppy comes to live with your family you will be provided with:

Written health guarantee.
Health record card.
Food and water for the first few days.
Canadian Kennel Club registration.
Micro-chipped puppy for identification.

My dogs are important to me and receive the best of care. I am fortunate enough to have veterinary care delivered to my home. Our Poodle puppies never need to leave their environment for dew claw removal, tail docking, first shots, micro-chipping, physical examinations or any special care. Depending on distance, our puppies leave our home at eight weeks. If you are unable to come to meet them, deliveries and flights can be arranged adhering to airline safety rules.

Kalchan's Arto of Thinking Star	I love to see how my Standard Poodle puppies grow and invite you to visit me and send pictures. I often visit our “extended family” and have met many great people through our dog family. I now have a family that extends throughout Canada and the United States. I am able to provide references of happy Kalchan puppy families.
