Siberians are beautiful, intelligent, athletic and gentle, but they are not for everyone.  They are high maintenance and very pack oriented.  Before you decide you want one, think hard about the following:

They have lots of hair and they shed.

They love to dig.

They love to run and hunt.  Do you realize this means they must always be on a leash or in a confined area with supervision?

Siberians do not do well when left alone.

They need exercise every day.

8 hours is too long to leave a puppy in a crate.

They need routine for housebreaking.  This is crucial.

You will need to buy a crate and a good puppy book.

Feed and walk the puppy at the same time every day.
