Further breeding with Setters resulted in the effervescent Flat Coat. Today these handsome dogs are fashionable once more as gundogs, superb flushers and excellent land and water Retrievers. Gregarious and versatile, their popularity is increasing. These dogs need lots of exercise, are easy to train and are good with children. Grooming four times a week keeps their coat looking good.
