An Owner's Toy Munchkin Description
Some claim that this dog doesn't exist - others say it's just another variation of the Pomeranian. That could be true. I'm not trying prove it one way or the other. It's not the reason I'm writing about my Lollipop. To me, she is a Munchkin through and through, even if she is nothing more than a tiny Pom. Really doesn't matter to me either way. What matters is Lolly is the dog I want. Her tiny size makes her as cute as a button and her perky personality keeps me laughing constantly.

When people ask me what sort of dog she is, I just say this is my little Munchkin. No further details needed. Most people have never heard of a breed called Toy Munchkin anyway. Just the same, everyone falls in love with Lollipop and begs to hold her. Her nature is so open that she is more than willing to go to whoever asks.

Because I am not positive about her breed, I won't make claims beyond the obvious. She resembles a Pomeranian but in a much smaller package. That's a miracle in itself and it deserves to be a separate breed on that accomplishment alone, if you ask me.

Lollipop is so small that I can actually slip her into a pocket or purse. She's been out to some very nice dinners in bag, never made a peep. Twice she has gone to the movies with me and watched the whole film without being detected.

If you don't believe in the Munchkin dog as a breed, just meet my little Lollipop and you'll believe in her, if nothing else.

 

 

Introduction

Considered the "ideal" pet for all types of lifestyles, the Toy Munchkin is an intelligent dog which makes a great companion for almost anyone. This breed stands an average of 5 inches at the shoulders and weighs an average of 4 lbs. It comes in a variety of colors. When this dog is properly shaved it resembles a small lion with its pom-pom appearance.
