An Owner's Toy Fox Terrier Description
Batman lives! This is one peppy little pup. He's about as quick - if not quicker! - than his larger counterparts. He goes running around the yard with the kids and they're chasing one another and Batman just loves to give them the slip. They try to catch him but he's too quick. He slips through their outstretched arms at top speed, but then he'll stop and turn around with a look that seems to say, "I'm too quick, ha ha, you missed me!". He's a tease, for sure and the kids tire much sooner than he does.
He may be a tease when playing but he loves the kids and when the playing is done, Batman is all affection. He loves to give it just as much as he enjoys getting it. He is also a very intelligent dog and will 'study' you or your actions so that in the future he can anticipate your next move. I find that truly amazing.
His intensity can cause a bit of stress (compared to other dogs) as he rarely seems ready to just unwind and calm down. If the kids are playing a board game, he's right there, running from one side to the other trying to figure it out. Or if the phone rings, he's right there, dancing around as if waiting for you to hand him the phone. I guess he's hopeful that someone has his number and will call!
His high energy and playfulness, as well as his desire to be involved in every aspect of the family's life makes me believe that he enjoys every minute of his life and lives it to the full. He kind of makes me feel that way as well.

Their coat is short and thick and is usually white with black and tan or tan markings. Grooming is minimal. These dogs are active and pretty much take care of their own exercise needs.
