Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier Description, Straight from the Dog's Mouth
Welcome to my place. Let me offer you the "Wheaten Greetin'." Bend down a bit so I can lick your face. No worries, Friend! It's just something I do when new people show up at my door. It's my way of kissin' ya although you may think it to be a bit slobbery. Not slobber, really. It's just I took a drink from my water dish moments before you arrived.

So many people call "Here boy," you'd think that 'Boy' was my name. Actually, those that know me well call me Sweetie. I think that has reference to my great personality, full name being 'Sweetie Wheatie', but I prefer just Sweetie. Fact is, 'here Boy' works, too.

I love my life with my human friends. They are so attentive to my needs, few as they may be. Just give me a place of my own and some daily rations, along with the necessary attention that all good dogs deserve and I'm as pleased as punch.

Now I am open to taking on more friends; even those that once were strangers are now on my friendship list and I look forward to their visits. Not that I tire of my owners, it's just that an occasional new face is a nice way to mix things up.

So, that said, if you really want to be friends and get on my "A" list, then you really do need to bend down some so that I can apply my "Wheaten Greetin' on your pretty little face.
